"From Cocaine Bell to Frankie Machine" (DJ Fuji & Day Game)
Good morning Casanovas, it's Frankie Machine (formerly Cocaine_Bell), the name change comes from my pass two days back in the states (I'm back in San Diego earlier than expected, due to some family issues).
This thread is all about giving value.
Let’s get right to it.
Saturday 4.25.29 "DJ Fuji San Diego Lair Meeting"
I was fortunate enough to be directed to the San Diego Lair by Scartissue, and signed up with the yahoo messaging group as soon as I could. I had heard stories of Manwhore before (Junior Instructor of RSD), and wanted to meet the bad boys of SD pretty much.
So I show up in the lobby of 555 Front Street in downtown SD, and meet Brian (The Ninja) and Slava (nowhere) from the San Diego Lair. Now Slava looks like a pint size version of Hypnotica, and I was pretty excited since DJ Fuji and Kamo (of Mehow Inc.) would be breaking down in-field footage of him gaming In Cahoots. Those I met that night, in no particular order: Keno Manwhore Logan DJ Fuji Kamo Jean Icemonk (my future wing) Chandler Louis (who I met at the Neil Strauss signing)
and various other Puas. The lair meet started a little later than expected (instead of 5pm, around 6:15), but lasted WAY longer than expected (I kid you not we walked out that lobby around 10:27pm). DJ Fuji began his presentation, and for your convenience, I'll sum up his phenomenal seminar.
DJ Fuji's entire philosophy was based on the entire concept of DTE.
D - Discipline. The ability and moxie to stick to something even the difficulty ensues. DJ Fuji referred to this as the "pain period." Just like in weight lifting, if you want the best results, you’ll have to have the necessary discipline to continue for the long haul.
T – Training. This is a big one. I will be the first to contest that I lack the necessary training when it comes to pickup (which you will read in my field report). Fuji talked about the simple facts of life on how important training is, and how so many PUAs train to get there license, train in mixed martial arts, train to become doctors, but do not want to take the necessary training to become Pickup Artists. Just like in the martial arts, if you just read the punches and kicks inside the manuals, but never actually throw a punch or a kick. Take the necessary steps in training.
E – Execution. This is self-explanatory. Applying all the discipline and all the training in-field. Not being an “Excuse Artist” and, learning to execute by being a “Performing “Artist”. There was so much knowledge I gained from the meet alone, but it would be hard to cover over 4 HOURS worth of game in just one post (mine you the lair meeting was free and came out of DJ Fiji & Kamo’s own pocket). I would love to go in depth more, but I’m going on 2 hours of sleep in the past 56hrs. To make up for the lack of post… just found out AFC Adam Lyons is speaking this weekend, so I will definitely be in attendance, to break down things we will definitely learn that night. I won’t be able to stay long because I will have to muster at 4:30am Monday morning (I’m in the Navy stationed in San Diego: 2 hour drive back –n- forth and the seminar starts at on Sun. night at 7pm? Do the math).
I’m looking forward to meeting Scartissue (congratulations!), Hydro, Zar, Decibel, Megatron, Bbad, Latin, Backer, Pinky B, Envvy, J The Ripper, c-dub, JoRock, and definitely all you other glorious guys and gals.
See you Sunday. Once again… Frankie Machine no longer Cocaine_Bell.
Coming Soon (if I remember to write it): Day Game with Flash & Icemonk.
