Although there wasn't really much to report tonight, I just wanted to put this up since I'm furious with myself. Opened well the beginning of the night, hooking the sets that were available when I decided that it would be rude to not babysit a set that I had hooked earlier (they proximity re-opened us) and after that, babysat some pivots that showed up.
At this point, I need to maintain the mindset of "these people are adults, they can take care of themselves and I'm going to leave them to open some sets".
Biggest lesson that I learned tonight was that my advancement in game should be #1 priority, not whether or not I'm rude for leaving people to talk to other people.

well, it is kind of rude to leave a friend alone, especially if they aren't able to take care of themselves (i.e., uncomfortable in social situations). It'd be a good idea to introduce them into the sets you open.
An easy way to leave sets that you opened is to say: "It was really nice talking with you, but I have to go check in with my friends." and definitely, you're just strangers, therefore you should feel no commitment towards them.

good pivots know they're pivots (social adults that can take care of themselves)
