My name's Rob, I'm from the Inland Empire. Currently I'm not where I expected to be. The problem is when I go fishing I'm not catching the fish I'm aiming for if you get what I'm saying. Been like this for a couple years now. I've never been shy when approaching, but closing the deal has been an issue, especially when chicks don't display any positive feedback (e.g. not smiling, not laughing, not being attentive when you're talking to them). Lately I've had to resort to online dating, which is disappointing considering how chicks lie and hype themselves up to be something their not. I'm hoping to take my rusty game to the next level by learning a thing or 2 from some seasoned veterans and hopefully finding wingmen and friends in the process.

Let me clarify some things:

I'm not big on the nightclub scene. I understand that's where most guys go to pick up chicks but I don't thrive in that kind of environment. I'm an introvert so loud environments can put me out of my comfort zone, which can ultimately affect my game. My gaming ground is usually the mall, department stores, poetry/talent show-like events, etc.

I get that not every girl will like me. Trust me, I learned that the hard way. Like you said persistence won't do you any good if the chick's not into you. If anything, I want to minimize my rejections.

I've been told I don't look very friendly at first glance. I don't smile alot and people say I come across serious. The people that know me well know that in reality I'm not THAT serious all the time, it's just my usual appearance. Most people generally like me once they get to know me.

Bottom line I want people to know what I'm about. Not trying to come across as a fake by being somebody else. But at the same time I want to be a "good salesman" and be able to sell my brand to chicks.

Hey Rob.

You'll find that there is no shortage of seasoned vets here. Glad you're on board and hope to see you out on the field soon.

:D
