Steam. good, yet too slow. at that weight you can do better.

Use fittit and get your caloric intake to under 3100 a day. I promise you will get rid of at least 2 lbs a week.

FWIW, I've tried every diet under the sun, and, for me, only one thing worked.
Eating less and working out.

As far as eating less, here's a little meal-a-majiggy I concocted.

Take turkey breast (the kind off a whole turkey, not the sliced type), cook it, and, chop it into cubes.
Saute a pound of mushrooms (doesn't matter the kind, white ones will do just fine).
Chop up some celery, add to the mushrooms.
Add a 12-oz. box of stuffing into the pan (I usually use a wok), add water & fat (butter) per instructions, mix well.
Add the chopped turkey breast (I usually use 1 half breast per mix).
Mix well, and, take off the heat.

The resulting grub is filling, nutritious (I think, lol), and, won't make you feel like you just ate a horse.
It can easily be taken with you, and, eaten in the car (if you ever eat on the run). Just don't forget to reheat it.

Now, here's an important part. (Remember, this is what works for me.)
Eat twice a day, same time every day. 10 am and 2pm.
If you eat later, you've broken the diet (I've broken it a few times, but, am always conscious of getting back on it).
Drink tons of water while you eat, and, whenever you feel like it.
Eat apples (I LOOVE Empire apples), and, any other veggies you may like (carrots and such).

Remember, when you eat, get up from the table slightly hungry. Don't worry, you'll feel full in a few minutes of finishing your meal. Do not eat to satiation.
Go to bed hungry. Again, don't worry, as, you'll feel fine when you wake up.
Remember to try to work out prior to eating. (If you're a working stiff, try to squeeze your workout prior to leaving for work, and, still, eat at 10 & 2).

Now, I have no fucking idea how scientific or good for you this is, but, for me, it works.
I'm down to 171 from 175 in under 1 week, and, I'm still a weak flab of fat with bad back (although I'm getting better. Trying to pound P90X into my schedule).
